Job Description Job Description About the Role: Lakeside School,
an independent coeducational day school located in North Seattle,
is currently recruiting for an Investigative Learning Camp Office
Assistant for summer 2026. The Investigative Learning Camp is an
academic summer camp designed for students entering grades 3-8. The
Office Assistant will work on campus 8am-4pm, Monday - Friday, June
24 - August 3. Campus is closed Friday, July 3 in observance of the

This position reports to the Director of Summer Programs and is
responsible for providing administrative support for the four-week
Investigative Learning Camp. Support the Summer Operations Manager
in ordering, organizing, and tracking camp supplies. Assist the
Summer Operations Manager in collecting and managing hiring
paperwork for new hires onboarded into our HR and payroll systems.
Manage all aspects of camp attendance: supervise check-in and
check-out procedures; oversee late arrival check in and early
release requests. Assist Investigative Camp Director and Assistant
Directors in preparing orientation materials for the Investigative
Learning Camp faculty and counselor orientation. Assist with
classroom preparation at the beginning of the summer and supply
pack-up at the end of camp. Assist the Investigative Learning Camp
Director with collection of camp photographs and with the
publication of a weekly email to parents and guardians. Assist with
fielding employee, student, and family inquiries when they enter
the Camp Office. Help maintain a welcoming, helpful culture in the
camp office. Other duties as assigned by the Investigative Learning
Camp Director or the Director of Summer Programs. Qualifications: A
high school degree Ability to work with elementary, middle-school,
and high-school aged students; ability to collaborate with fellow
administrative staff. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and the Google
suite; ability learn new software systems First Aid and CPR
certification obtained before July 1. Willingness to drive a school
minibus is preferable. You must be at least 25 years of age and be
willing to receive minibus certification training from a member of
our facilities team. Candidates must satisfactorily complete two
criminal background checks. Personal Attributes: Demonstrated
cultural awareness, including knowledge of themselves and the
cultural lenses they bring to interactions. The candidate will
understand different perspectives; interact respectfully with
cultures other than their own; and cultivate meaningful
relationships with people that have different cultural frameworks.
Prior experience working with a diverse student population and
demonstrated equity and inclusion mindset. Candidates should be
aware of their own identity and biases; candidates actively work to
create an inclusive work environment. Excellent communication

attitude Compensation and Benefits The stipend for this position is
$5,300 - $5,600. Lunch is included. Summer at Lakeside also offers
free Investigative Learning Camp enrollment for children (entering
Gr.3-8) of summer employees during the weeks they are working. The
Investigative Learning Camp runs July 6-July 31. Application
