investing in your success. WORK SUMMARY: Perform a wide variety of
tasks associated with servicing, repairing or operation of most CNC
machine tools. With little or no supervision must have the ability
to create and document machine specific detailed vibration
analysis, Oil analysis, and thermal measurement procedures and
plans. Accurately estimate times of completion for each specific
piece of equipment to be calibrated, and maintain a revolving
schedule that will accomplish the calibration of multiple machine
tools and equipment. Excellent mechanical aptitude, communication
and computer skills are a must. Coordinate with production and
maintain the Annual Calibration schedule. Adjust the schedule when
compliance is prohibited. Maintain and analyze compiled historical
documentation in order to predict equipment failures and issues.
Overtime and shift designation is dictated by the necessity of
maintaining the Annual Calibration Schedule. Advanced operation of
CNC controls from different manufacturers. Work closely with
customers, vendors, OEM’s, and other KRC personnel. Independently
organize and complete a successful service call. Assist other
service engineers, and preventive maintenance technicians. JOB
RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and document a detailed procedure for the
Calibration and collection of relative predictive data for several
specific pieces of equipment throughout the customer’s facility.
Set up and operate, Renishaw Ballbar, vibration analysis equipment,
and thermal measurement equipment. Record and analyze Thermal,
Vibration, and Ballbar readings, and compare to historical data, in
order to predict equipment failures and non-compliance factors.
Verify in advance, with Production that all equipment to be
calibrated is fully functional and available for calibration.
Ensure that all measurements and readings of the required
historical data have been gathered and documented during the
Calibration procedure. Final power on and runoff of the equipment,
resolution of any issues created by the Calibration activities.
Coordinate the release of the machine back to the customer for use
in production. Generate any and all Equipment Repair work orders
resulting from discoveries made during the Calibration, or from the
analysis of the calibration documentation. Update or modify the
Calibration Procedure in the effort of continuous improvement and
efficiency. Follow up with the customer, post calibration, to
ensure the machine is fully functional, and to report any deviation
in Calibration specifications or standards. Update historical data
and readings in the CMMS software and store any other historical
data for further analysis. Analyze the recorded data from each
calibration procedure in an effort to predict equipment failure /
compliance. Develop Calibration Reports, complete with analysis and
recommendations, to identify and provide calibration findings, and
predictive analysis to the Facilities Manager and the production
group. Accurate and timely reporting of job related hours and

Field Service Technician IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: SERVICE MANAGER
TRAVEL: REQUIRED UP TO 50% Requirements: Ability to read, write and
comprehend English instructions High School diploma or GED or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires
minimum of 3 years of related experience with extensive knowledge
of hand tools and measuring equipment. Must possess strong
mechanical and electrical aptitude combined with strong
organizational and process skills. Ability to read and understand
technical manuals and blueprints. Accurately follow written and
verbal instructions, procedures and recommendations. Ability to
read and interpret complex electrical schematics. Ability to use
indicators, thermal measurement equipment, Ballbar, and vibration
analysis equipment. Must be willing to work in a repetitive
production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality and
schedule requirements. Extensive knowledge of customer’s safety
practices and procedures. Fork Lift, Scissor Lift, and Boom lift
Training and Certification Working knowledge of KRC company
policies. Manual dexterity Strong computer skills in CMMS,
Microsoft Word, Excel and Renishaw Software. Ability to stand or
sit for long periods of time. The ability to work as a team player
as well as independently is required. Ability to climb ladders
safely Able to travel by Plane and Rent cars – Possibly
International Lift up to 50 pounds Withstand loud noise of a
machine shop environment.
