Engineering Technical Specialist (Entry-Level or Associate)
Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E)
is seeking an Engineering Technical Specialist to join our team in
Seattle, WA , to develop solutions to problems that require
innovation while working according to established guidelines in the
Metrology & Test Equipment Services (MATES) Infrastructure
Organization. The candidate should be able to apply their knowledge
and experience to proactively monitoring and maintaining
authoritative data across Boeing applications Common Metrology
Information System (CMIS), or Strategic Inventory Management Online
(SIMON) in their daily work. The candidate finds outdated or
inconsistent records, evaluates the impact of every change, and
updates information to meet structured application standards.
Performs a system administer and evaluates data for troubleshooting
issues, completeness and accuracy. Provides reports to leaders in
the organization for case studies as requested. From documenting
clear requirements for technical teams to creating user-friendly
tip sheets and guides, and validating system enhancements through
rigorous testing, the Engineering Technical Specialist ensures
changes are ready, reliable, and deliver real value to end users.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience
levels including Entry-Level and Associate Engineering Technical
Specialists. Position Responsibilities: Contributes to the
development, documentation, implementation and consultation for the
application of engineering tools, processes and standards Assists
with training in the utilization of processes and tools and
supports the integration of engineering designs Assists in the
identification and validation of user access roles and tip sheets
Supports the development and implementation of standards Assists in
providing configuration management, coordinating changes and
performing assessments of compliance Assists in the development,
maintenance and distribution of engineering documents, reports and
correspondence to enable business activity Maintains robust
datasets, data models, semantic layers, and dimensional models to
support reporting and analytics Partner with stakeholders to
prioritize requests, communicate trade-offs, and influence
reporting strategy Works under general supervision This position
allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to
perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): To meet U.S.
export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined
by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S.
Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or
asylee 1 years of experience with Common Metrology Information
System (CMIS) Experience with scripts to automate deployment and
configuration of operating systems Experience with Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 2 : 1
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of education and experience Education/experience typically acquired
through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent
Experience using Metrology Information Systems (MIS) Experience
with Strategic Inventory Management Online (SIMON) Familiarity with
data architecture, and data warehouse concepts Good stakeholder
management and communication skills Comfortable working in
cross-functional teams and delivering projects on schedule Prior
experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a regulated industry

Entry-level (Level 1): $61,200 – $82,800 Summary Pay Range for
