Materials Management and Transportation Manager Company: The
Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a
Materials Management and Transportation Manager – 737 North line to
join our 737 Fulfillment Northline team in Everett , WA and the
Harbor Point , WA site (near Everett, WA). 2nd shift: (M-F) – 1:30
pm – 10 pm (rotating weekends); 3rd: 10pm – 5am (M-F) (rotating
weekends). Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able
& willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline
schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements
and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or
workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.) The
successful candidate will be people focused, motivated, flexible
and comfortable with competing priorities. Has the ability to
manage and integrate employees’ activities across more than one
area in materials management and transportation. You should be able
to develop and execute project and process plans, implement
policies and procedures and set operational goals. Acquire
resources for projects and processes, provide technical management
of team members and lead process improvements. Develops and
maintains relationships and partnerships with customers,
stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides
oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and
processes. The candidate selected will be assigned responsibilities
that include operations factory support, shipping/receiving,
material handling, expedite, warehousing and serving as the Supply
Chain contact for off shift customer support. This role principally
leads a team of hourly, represented team members in the Supply
Chain function. Our team is currently hiring for a Level K
Materials Management and Transportation Manager for 2nd shift or
3rd shift. Position Responsibilities: Manages and integrates
employee’s activities across more than one area in materials
management and transportation Develops and executes project and
process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets
operational goals Acquires resources for projects and processes,
provides technical management of suppliers and leads process
improvements Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships
with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products
and processes Manages, develops and motivates employees Possesses a
mindset of safety and quality; influences the team to exhibit

onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at
one of the listed location options. The position must meet Export
Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined
by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen,
lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications
( Required Skills / Experience): 5 years of experience in Supply
Chain or Fulfillment 3 years of experience with industry ERP
(Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System
Applications and Product) Motivated self-started who can work
independently and has demonstrated ability to collaborate with
stakeholders such as sales, success, product management, and senior
leaders Must be willing and able to work any shift (Must be able &
willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline
schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements
and may include weekends and holidays; mission requirements and/or
workload may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.)
Experience leading or managing projects that involved
cross-functional or cross-business unit teams Preferred
Qualifications ( Desired Skills / Experience ): Bachelor’s Degree
or Advanced Degree 5 years of experience demonstrating exceptional
business, analytical, and problem-solving skills 3 years leading
critical projects 5 years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier
Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes 5 years of
experience with materials planning or inventory control process
role in a manufacturing environment Experience with safety and
quality processes Aerospace or manufacturing experience 5 years of
experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk
identification Demonstrated ability to create shared vision and
translate into strategy Implementation Demonstrated capacity to
proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds
effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates
complicated information simply Experience expediting products
through a production system to meet emergent customer demand Shift:
Second: Monday – Friday – 1:30 pm till 10 pm (rotating weekends)
Third: Monday – Friday – 10 pm till 5 am (rotating weekends)
