Environment team utilizes science-based approaches to lower
Amazon’s environmental impacts across the operations of our
business units and products, making meaningful and measurable
impacts in the communities in which we operate. We are seeking a
Principal Product Manager-Technical, Sustainable Water Specialist
to serve as a deep subject matter expert (SME) in emerging
technologies to conserve, recycle, harvest, and reuse water at
scale, especially within industrial settings and within the
operations that support Amazon’s value chain from our direct
operations back to the commodity sourcing level. The ideal
candidate will engage with third-party companies and startups to
select, evaluate, and pilot water sustainability technologies and
tools. As the technical expert, you will drive these pilots toward
large-scale deployment to support Amazon's water positive goals
while partnering with external companies and in-house engineering
teams to develop products that address Amazon's water technology
needs. You will advise Amazon's businesses on developing their own
water technology pilots and distribute centralized guidance on
evolving capabilities in sustainable water use. Working closely
with Science and Tech teams, you will develop and deploy metrics
and measurement methodologies to track the performance of existing
and new water technologies within operations. To succeed in this
role, you will create and align leadership and businesses on
long-term strategic water technology plans that address the
changing water scarcity and risk landscape. You will serve as a
visible leader in development and deployment within Worldwide
Sustainability. Key job responsibilities - Serve as a company
expert on hardware and software (including AI) technologies that
enable sustainable water use at scale. - Survey the emerging water
technology landscape (including. e.g., startups serving various
sectors, new tech offered by established water utilities, and
technology being used in large-scale corporate replenishment
projects) for technology assessment/piloting opportunities to
benefit the business. - Develop and align with leadership on
comprehensive 3-5 year strategic plans to evolve Amazon’s water
technology landscape across all businesses. - Collaborate with
Science and Tech teams to translate business needs (including
growth plans in water scarce regions or regions with water
regulation) into business- and region-customized water technology
roadmaps and company-wide targets. - Collaborate with Tech to
develop tools for enterprise-wide integration of new tools. - Use
data from pilot programs to develop long-term company-wide targets
that scale successful initiatives. - Advise businesses on
customized water technology needs and solutions, looking around
corners for expanding regional and local regulations and water
security issues. - Represent the organization in industry forums
and sustainability initiatives related to water. About the team

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
