Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine WA Are you a
dedicated Nurse Practitioner with a passion for serving Veterans

supporting our nation's heroes. We are currently seeking
experienced Locum Nurse Practitioners for General Medicine to
perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health
Assessments across Western Australia. This is a flexible, ongoing
PRN opportunity that allows you to make a meaningful difference

Overview: As a Locum Nurse Practitioner with VES, you will deliver
essential non-treatment exams primarily based on interviews and
physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength
testing. This role offers flexible scheduling, with options for
half-day or full-day shifts, providing a unique opportunity to work
independently while supporting veteran healthcare. You will be part
of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence, ensuring timely
completion of reports and assessments without the responsibilities
of prescribing or treatment. Your expertise will directly
contribute to veterans' wellbeing, making this a highly rewarding
role. Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in
Australia (WA-specific registration preferred) Experience in
general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related
fields Proven ability to conduct interview-based assessments and
perform basic physical examinations Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills to manage report
submissions and administrative follow-up Ability to work
independently and adhere to strict deadlines Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams or VA
assessments Familiarity with veterans’ healthcare needs and
protocols Experience working in a remote or mobile setting
Certifications in trauma-informed care or related specialties
Preferred Education and Experience: Master's Degree or higher in
Nursing (e.g., MSN, DNP) Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in
general or internal medicine Previous experience performing
assessments for military or veteran populations is advantageous
Other Requirements: Must be a local candidate; travel costs are
included in the pay rate Ability to complete mandatory training and
credentialing promptly No need for own office space; exams are
conducted remotely or at designated facilities Willingness to
perform both half-day (4-hour) and full-day (8-hour) shifts as
scheduled Must adhere to all confidentiality and professional
standards This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $402, with
flexible scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package including
