Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, invites experienced General Medicine providers to join our national team, performing vital Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments, with some physical examinations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making it a focused, non-treatment position ideal for providers with a background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related fields. Work is available on a PRN basis, with options for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts, providing the flexibility to fit your schedule. Required Skills: Valid medical license in Washington State Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedics, or general medicine Strong interview and physical assessment skills Ability to complete exams efficiently and accurately Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with compensation and pension examinations Familiarity with Veterans' medical assessments or government-related medical evaluations Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Current state medical license in Washington At least 2 years of clinical practice in a related specialty Other Requirements: Local candidates only (travel included within rates) Ability to perform assessments at designated locations or own office (if applicable) Quick onboarding and credentialing process Willingness to perform administrative follow-up work such as report writing and addendums Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rate of $624.00 Flat rate of $800 for half-day shifts (4 hours or less), including exam completion and report submission Flat rate of $1,600 for full-day shifts (5 hours or more) One-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and first exams Competitive weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursement when applicable Dedicated 24/7 support team committed to your success This is your chance to make a difference while enjoying a flexible, rewarding medical role.
