experience): $21.16 - $29.53 . Job Summary Collects blood, urine
and swab specimens for use for clinical analysis, evaluations,
and/or diagnostic purposes. May work at any of the three locations
of Grays Harbor Public Hospital District 1. Job Duties and
Responsibilities 1. Greets patients and instructs them in proper
specimen collection methods. 2. Draw blood specimens by using
venipuncture, finger stick or heel stick in various settings
(Outpatient, ER, Inpatient) 3. Collect throat or nasal specimens.
4. Processes specimens for use by Lab Techs or for sending to
Reference Lab. 5. Perform CLIA waived testing and certain NON-CLIA
waived testing 6. Collects and processes Drug Screens for
Pre-Employment and NON-DOT Post Accidents. 7. Answers phone and
routes calls, if necessary, to appropriate staff. 8. Assists in
inventory of laboratory supplies and stocks work area as needed. 9.
Special projects and other duties as assigned by Department or
Clinic Manager which may include duties outside of the laboratory.
Organizational Responsibilities In addition to the duties and
responsibilities listed above, all employees are expected to
support the Summit Pacific Medical Center mission, vision and
values; comply with SPMC policies and procedures; and conduct
themselves in an ethical, professional, respectful, and
collaborative manner at all times. Required Education and
Experience • High School Diploma or Equivalent required. • Six (6)
months phlebotomy experience in a patient care setting preferred. •
Six (6) months of sample processing preferred. • Six (6) months of
CLIA waived testing preferred. Required Licenses, Certifications
and/or Registrations 1. A Current Washington State MA/Phlebotomist
License obtained within 90-days of hire. 2. Current BLS
certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 1. Intermediate working knowledge and
competence in laboratory processes, applications, and testing
procedures. 2. Proficient in the use of current technology,
including Microsoft Office products. Ability to learn and
effectively use electronic medical records and other systems and
equipment. 3. Working knowledge of Medical Terminology 4. Good
organizational skills and ability to multi-task 5. Effective
interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read, write and
speak the English language. Ability to follow oral and written
instructions. 6. Ability to perform a wide variety of assignments
that require the use of independent judgment, problem-solving,
organization, prioritization, and interpersonal skills. 7. Shift at
times will be variable, the ability to be flexible is required.
Physical Requirements The position requires lifting less than 10
pounds and lifting 10–35 pounds on a frequent basis (approximately
30–70% of the time). Lifting more than 35 pounds is required
occasionally (about 10–30% of the time). Carrying less than 10
pounds and carrying 10–35 pounds occur frequently , while carrying
more than 35 pounds is required seldom (approximately 1–10% of the
time). Pushing and pulling loads between 0–35 pounds is performed
occasionally . The role involves sitting frequently throughout the
workday. Standing and walking are required on a constant basis
(more than 70% of the time). Bending and stooping are also required
constantly , while crouching occurs occasionally . Sensory
