Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical
experience. 2 years of experience with software development or 1
year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure,
distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute
technologies, storage or hardware architecture. Experience in the
following areas: Storage Systems, Databases, SQL, Data Analytics.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer
Science or related technical fields. Experience with C++ and Java.
Experience building infrastructure in Google Cloud or other Cloud
providers. Experience with high-performance scalable storage and
distributed systems back-ends. Experience building or operating
large-scale database or data warehouse systems. Experience
delighting enterprise customers, with an understanding of

The BigQuery Metadata team plays a critical role in this success,

Logical Metadata Team, a core pillar within the BigQuery Metadata
organization, responsible for the metadata management and
infrastructure that powers all user-facing resources across Native

salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 bonus
equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level,
and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by
work location and additional factors, including job-related skills,

Reliability: Design and implement tests and experiments to evaluate
and monitor the performance of the system, using a full battery of
tools to develop, test, and rollout features. Coordinate
Cross-Stack: Coordinate with product engineers in all parts of the
SW stack to ensure seamless integration. Drive BigLake Innovation:
Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of BigLake features, ensuring
replication and disaster resilience for all managed metadata.
