The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Financial
Operations Analyst to join the Information Digital Technology &
Security (IDT&S) Portfolio Management Team in Seattle, WA;
Arlington, VA; Berkeley, MO; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Englewood,
CO; Houston, TX; Huntsville, AL; Kent, WA; Mesa, AZ; Miami, FL;
North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Ridley Park, PA; Seal
Beach, CA; or Wichita, KS. This support is pivotal in shaping
governance, processes, and tools that support financial planning,
oversight and reconciliation through investment prioritization,
ensuring resources are strategically aligned to objectives that
enable the Boeing company with reliable, cost-effective information
technology capabilities for current missions and future
initiatives. You will work collaboratively with product
development, information technology, finance, and business teams to
effectively manage expenditures related to Workplace Solutions
products, including run rate spending, project expenditures, and
unfunded product costs. In this senior-level role, you will be
tasked with establishing, refining, and executing essential
processes that enable prioritization and effective management of a
diverse portfolio of products and projects. This position offers
the opportunity to engage across organizational boundaries,
collaborating with colleagues to enhance the ecosystem of processes
and tools that support portfolio management and associated business
functions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in
financial management and program/product management, demonstrating
a proven ability to influence and lead large groups of
stakeholders. Position Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and
continuously improve a lean governance framework and operating
rhythm for investment prioritization and long-range business
planning Analyze portfolio data to extract actionable insights and
generate decision intelligence Drive enhancements to digital
capabilities by identifying requirements that enable the effective
and efficient management of the portfolio, utilizing critical
thinking and innovative problem-solving skills Lead initiatives
that incorporate industry best practices to simplify and enhance
business processes, including financial planning and financial risk
management Communicate and document processes and best practices,
serving as a trusted consultant to practitioners across the
organization Foster transparent collaboration across IDT&S,
including partnering with Information Technology (IT) Finance, the
Product Management Chapter, Program Management Chapter and
Architecture Chapter Educate cross-functional teams on FinOps
principles and best practices for effective cost management Analyze
usage and spending to identify optimization opportunities and guide
the creation of cost forecasting models for proactive planning and
budgeting Establish cost allocation and chargeback mechanisms to
promote accountability and transparency in IT spending Create and
maintain tools and processes for tracking, reporting, and
optimizing infrastructure costs, ensuring scalability and
automation where possible Set, communicate, and measure key
performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and success of
FinOps processes Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment
on financial goals Basic Qualifications (Required
Skills/Experience): 5 years of experience influencing and building
strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across
functions 5 years of experience working with Financial Data (i.e
accounting, financial planning, cost management, legal and/or
contracts) 5 years of experience in a finance related position such
as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating,
Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis
(PFA) 5 years of experience managing multiple projects
simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a
fast-paced environment 3 years of experience in a leadership role
(i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.) Preferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree or
higher 10 years of experience with portfolio management 5 years of
experience with financial business planning processes 5 years of
experience leading projects, programs or initiatives Experience
with critical thinking, problem-solving and business analysis
capabilities Experience with analytical, communication, and
cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience in data
visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI,
QuickSight, etc.) Experience with data modeling, systems
