Job Description:
The Recruiting Operations Center (ROC) is seeking a Senior
Product Manager (Non-Technical) to own and drive the vision,
strategy, and delivery of ideal-state process and technical
solutions that enable global Amazon University Talent Acquisition
(AUTA) hiring. This role serves as the strategic business owner for
a specific stage of the AUTA recruitment lifecycle, partnering
closely with recruiting teams, business customers, and technical
teams to define and champion ideal-state workflows that identify
where process and technology changes are needed. You will work with
these seem stakeholders to translate these visions into clear use
cases, prioritized requirements, and scalable solutions — while
ensuring the needs of multiple personas (business customers,
candidates, and recruiters) remain at the center of every decision.
You will shape roadmap direction and influence delivery by
providing data-driven business context, ensuring AUTA's specific
needs are met, while proactively identifying and collaborating on
solutions that could benefit all of Amazon recruitment. While you
do not directly own technical product delivery, you are accountable
for driving the lifecycle forward at every stage — and through that
accountability, responsible for delivering the right outcomes. You
will develop your voice as a customer by actively gathering and
synthesizing inputs from recruiters, candidates, business
stakeholders, and subject-matter experts, ensuring the needs of all
personas are represented in every decision. You will ensure the
vision is defined, the right business cases are built, and that
delivery stays anchored to those needs, even when the work is
carried out by others. Your responsibilities span the full product
lifecycle — from vision definition and business case development
through metrics monitoring and change management — requiring both
strategic thinking and operational excellence. You will guide
initiatives from early discovery through launch readiness,
balancing immediate business needs with long-term operational
scalability. Success in this role requires exceptional written and
verbal communication skills, strong influence, and structured
thinking. You must be able to craft compelling narratives for
senior leadership and stakeholders, facilitate complex discussions
across diverse stakeholder groups, and drive clarity across
multiple product teams without direct authority. You should be
comfortable operating in ambiguity, translating complex business
needs into actionable requirements, maintaining momentum across
interdependent workstreams, and balancing competing priorities
while keeping the needs of multiple customer personas at the center
of every decision. Key job responsibilities Define and champion the
product vision for AUTA experience domains, working across
technical, program, and recruiting teams to align on a shared
direction that serves the full range of personas — business
customers, candidates, and recruiters. Develop your voice as a
customer by actively gathering and synthesizing inputs from
customers and subject-matter experts. Using those insights, act as
the business owner for AUTA product and process domains — designing
ideal-state workflows, standardizing processes, and translating
diverse needs into clear business use cases, prioritized technical
requirements, and compelling narratives for senior leadership. Use
best practices and mechanisms to keep stakeholders aligned on
expectations, progress, and delivery timelines; drive crisp
decisions, clear blockers, and escalate appropriately to maintain
momentum. Define, monitor, and ensure solutions improve key success
metrics (KPIs); apply rigorous analytics to identify anomalies and
ensure decisions reflect the full customer population. Develop and
execute change management strategies, including SOPs, operational
readiness materials, and adoption plans to support successful
rollout across multiple teams and personas Actively contribute to
recruiting, mentoring, and developing talent across the team A day
in the life In this role, you will work across technical, program,
and recruitment teams, serving as the connective tissue between
AUTA business needs and technical solution delivery. On a typical
day, you may partner with technical product managers to translate
non-technical business use-cases into technical requirements and
clarify business needs across multiple user personas, drive intake
and prioritization discussions across competing initiatives, review
designs and workflows to ensure the needs of all customer segments
are fully represented, analyze performance metrics to identify
optimization opportunities, and coordinate launch readiness and
change management planning. - 5 years of product or program
